Regional Workshop curricula development and practical issues, incl. competences match.

The workshop sessions covered the following core courses: Essential Issues in Public Health Policy, Health Services Management, and Health, Culture and Society, by three trainers from EU (UK, Spain). The workshop aimed to help Mediterranean Partners Universities to develop the teaching materials for above core courses.

On Tuesday March 28th Dr. Ignacio Perez Clordia – University of Navarra discussed in presentations and working groups the following themes: Health Policy in Emerging Diseases, Cases of Ebola and Zika in Spain (Health actions).Health Policy in Climate Change, Global Warming and Pollution and Global worries, plans and actions.

On Wednesday March 29th, Dr. R. Kabir – Anglia Ruskin University discussed in presentations and working groups the following themes: Health Systems (principles, structure, functions, and finances), Services and operations management, Service design, transformation and leadership, Health care evaluation, key concepts from management, economics and organisational theory.

On Thursday March 30th , Dr. Fiona. McMaster – Anglia Ruskin University discussed in presentations and working groups the following themes: Beliefs around health and illness, Experiences of health and illness, Social inequalities and determinants of health ,Interactions with healthcare professionals, Theories around health promoting behaviours and encouraging behaviour change, Group discussion for preparation the content of the three core courses.
